Saffron Yellow Atlas Red

Morocco is a country full of color. Full of sounds and smells and tastes. From the seaside-towns to the atlas-mountains, something new waits around every corner. I try to get a grasp of it, eat exotic fruits and drink mint tea, hear music on the street and bargaining in the souks. I smell the sea and the desert. I watch children play in the tiny streets of the Kasbahs and wonder how they will find their way back home again. They always do. I see women carry heavy bags up the stairs of the blue city. I touch berber-carpets and tanned leather. I eat couscous and watch the Medina change from day to night. The food stands open, the snake charmer packs his bags. And in the end, it all seems like it was a dream.
